The Competition

IN SEARCH OF NEW TALENT

We are looking for distinctive, engaging and imaginative films, in Gaelic. FilmG is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. You can make your film in any genre on any budget and you DON’T have to be a Gaelic speaker.

Entry requirements:

There are two separate competitions: one for adults over 18, and one for 12-17 year-olds. We have a range of excellent cash prizes, and we will offer training for those who would like to improve their film-making skills, in addition to film-making workshops for schools.

Each year FilmG has a theme which you can use as a starting point to help get you going. This year, it’s ‘Air an Stairsich’ which means ‘On the Threshold’. But if you don’t want to follow the theme, don’t worry - you won’t be penalised.

All films must be submitted by midnight on Friday, 6 January 2012 (one whole extra month this year!). We would like you to submit your films online, if you can. Read through our tech spec to learn more about how to do this. And good luck!
