Archie is a native Gaelic speaker from Benbecula.  He teaches Gaelic and enjoys reading and writing in the language.  He would be willing to help writers with their translations to ensure that the Gaelic used is natural and authentic. 

Steven works for Cànan managing the translations department. He completed the Gaelic and Communications course at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. He writes Gaelic news items for a newspaper, and has had a short story, news articles, songs and one poem published in Gaelic. He has also done a little acting in a play and in a short, comedy film. Steven is willing to help with translation, voice-overs or just with your Gaelic in general.

Alison is a writer of Gaelic fiction and drama. Her first collection of short stories was published in 2009 and her new novella is to be published in October 2011. She has also scripted and directed a short film. She is looking for opportunities to collaborate with FilmG directors on scriptwriting and development, translation and other aspects of film production.

Roddy MacLean works freelance on Gaelic-related projects. Formerly a Gaelic teacher, Roddy conducted research on Ulpan courses in Hebrew for his PhD. He was brought up in a Gaelic-speaking household in Glasgow, with both parents being fluent speakers. Roddy has won two FilmG “Visions Awards” for his FilmG films. He has a great deal of experience speaking on the radio and would be willing to help people with presenting, voice-overs and translations.

Laura Maclennan is a fluent Gaelic speaker from Barvas on the Isle of Lewis, and currently a 4th year student at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. She has some radio and television presenting experience and is keen to gain more experience in presenting (radio & TV) and doing voice-overs.

Laura would be happy to help with presenting, voice-overs and translations.

Beth has a B.A. in Theatre from Whitman College in the States. She learned Gaelic at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and is now teaching in a Gaelic-medium primary school. She would be happy to work in front of the camera, acting or presenting, or help with Gaelic translations.

Joy comes from Connel near Oban and has been working in the world of Gaelic for many years. She is a Gaelic singer, teacher and writer, and has a lot of experience in speaking on radio and television. Joy also featured in the film “Làmh an Uachdar” which won the ‘FilmG Theme Award’ in 2011. She would be happy to help with presenting, voice-overs, acting and Gaelic translations.

Seonag works for Cli Gaelic where she manages Gaelic language courses for learners. She has a keen interest in film-making and her film ‘Beatha a’ Bhàird’ won Best Documentary Film at the first FilmG in 2009. She is originally from North Uist and has lovely clear Gaelic. She would be happy to help people with voice-overs and translations.

Seumas is originally from Paisley and has just graduated with a degree in Gaelic at the University of Glasgow. He has been involved in FilmG every year since it began and featured in “An Latha a Fhuair Gàidhlig Greim air an t-Saoghal” which won “Best Performance” at the FilmG 2010 awards. He has also appeared at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow in a production of Calamity Jane. He can sing and play the piano.
