Deadline: 8 December
Create a film shorter than five minutes and submit it to FilmG by 8 December 2023.
This year’s theme is ‘Mo Shealladh’ (My Point of View). Only one category focuses on this, so make your film about whatever you want!
The films don’t need to be about Gaelic. They just need to be in Gaelic.
Make a film that you would want to watch.
FilmG is about developing new talent for Gaelic media. We have kit, crew and advice, and if you don’t know where to start or you’re stuck, the FilmG team is here to help.
ABOUT FILMG
FilmG is an annual short-film competition that finds, nurtures, and develops new talent for Gaelic media.
Since launching in 2008, FilmG has served as a springboard for many successful media careers, within BBC ALBA and beyond.
With dedicated competitions for both Under 18 and Over 18, the FilmG team offers workshops and support for films at any level.
Independent judges evaluate the films, with the winners announced at an awards ceremony in February.
FilmG is proudly owned by MG ALBA and delivered by the Gaelic agency Astar.
