During a car journey, a couple continue an argument. Swapping between Gaelic and English, it is clear there is tension.
The film looks at the relationship between a couple who both have Gaelic and English. She is a learner prompted by their meeting and relationship. He is a native speaker and since moving back to his family home, has embraced the language again. She is finding it difficult to fit in with his family and friends and missing her city life. But it is clear something else is going on, a text message from ‘J’, who’s ‘J’? The film looks at the differences in the language and how isolating it can be within a relationship if you don’t understand the complexities and idioms.
